Whether you’re hosting a dinner party, holding a pub quiz, or getting sponsored for an activity – there are loads of great ways to make a lasting difference to the lives of refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants. Want some inspiration? Our fundraising ideas below are a great place to start.

Run for Us
Challenge yourself and make a huge difference to refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants living in our local community. If you want to run in an event on behalf of Refugee Resource you can select us as your chosen charity on JustGiving or Everyclick. Let us know, so that we can support you and your fundraising.
We are also on the lookout for runners for the Oxford Half Marathon 2020 on Sunday 11th October! Find out more about the race here.

Host a Meal
Raise money whilst enjoying a meal with friends, family or colleagues. Make your own dinner or create delicious dishes from our recipe book - ‘Come to our Table’ - filled with recipes from Syria to Mauritius, Iran to Ethiopia, and more. All dishes are hand-picked by members of our Women’s Service. For more information click here

Other Fundraising Ideas
There are many ways to fundraise for Refugee Resource. Ideas could include a cake or jumble sale, a musical or theatrical performance, a poetry night, a sponsored activity, etc. Whatever idea you have, we’d love to hear about what you have planned. How to send us your fundraising donations*
Paying your fundraising donations to Refugee Resource can be done in the following ways:
Set up a fundraising webpage
A great way to collect donations is to set up a webpage and then ask people to donate via this page. You can do this easily on Everyclick or Justgiving. Click on the links and there is a simple step by step process to get set up.
Bank transfer or Standing Order
Please contact us at communications@refugeeresource.org and we’ll send you further details
Cheque or cash
Please make your cheque payable to ‘Refugee Resource’ and send to the address below.
Please do not send cash in the post. If you would like to donate cash please visit our office.

Give as you Live
You can support us when you do your shopping online. By registering with Give as you Live a percentage of your online shopping bill can be donated to Refugee Resource, and at no extra cost to you.

Woodstock Bookshop – who donated the proceeds of the event on 21st Sept with Patrick Gale and David Constantine at Woodstock Town Hall arranged by Woodstock Bookshop. It raised an incredible £408 ( topped up by Woodstock Book Shop to £500 ).
Manor Prep School Book Club - who hosted a meal for us and raised a wonderful £180
The Wheatley Refugee Support Group - who hosted a meal for us and raised a wonderful £500, plus an additional £213 towards recipe book sales - a fantastic total of £713!
