2 x Community Support Workers: Homes for Ukraine Project 

We are recruiting for 2 part-time roles each at (26 hours per week) on fixed term contracts to 28th February 2025 with immediate start 

Salary range: £24,858.00 - £26,858.00 FTE = £18,465.94 - £19,951.65 pro rata) 

 

Refugee Resource aims to alleviate distress, enhance well-being, and facilitate the integration of refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants, primarily in Oxfordshire, by providing psychological, social, and practical support.


This new role will work on a project supporting Ukrainian people around Oxfordshire. The project aims to provide a person or family-centred, wraparound support service to help Ukrainian guests to navigate local services and enable guests to settle and integrate, improve their wellbeing, and build their independence. The successful candidate will work as part of a team with colleagues in Connection Support. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    To work collaboratively and communicate well with our partners at Connection Support.
•    To engage effectively with Ukrainian people living around Oxfordshire and with host families 
•    To create and deliver social inclusion groups and activities which meet the needs of this group
•    To make referrals for counselling and psychotherapy within Refugee Resource as appropriate.

Candidates should be fluent in Ukrainian and English both verbally and in writing.  Full driving licence and use of a vehicle insured for business use.

Finance & Administration Manager

 

Working 24 hours per week (worked over four or five days)

 

Salary is £36,000 FTE (£24,685 pro rata)

Refugee Resource aims to relieve distress, improve well-being and facilitate the integration of refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants, mainly in Oxfordshire, by providing psychological, social and practical support.

 

The post holder will work closely with the Chief Executive and wider team to maintain and establish effective financial and administrative systems and processes.  S/he will be responsible for the smooth running of the office and our financial systems, regularly reviewing policies, processes and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose and will liaise with the Board about financial issues. S/he will manage our external suppliers.  Candidates must be qualified or with at least five years’ experience working in an account management role.  Knowledge of Quickbooks would be an advantage.

 

In the current rapidly changing context affecting refugees and asylum seekers on the one hand and the agencies working to support them on the other, Refugee Resource aims to deliver its current services to the very highest of standards and also to identify new initiatives that can further strengthen its service offer. Refugee Resource is also expanding the training it is paid to provide to other organisations on how best to work with refugees.
