Refugee Resource's Statement on the Ukrainian Crisis

At Refugee Resource we are greatly sadden and disheartened by the outbreak of conflict in the Ukraine. We stand with the Ukrainian people and call on the British government to welcome refugees fleeing the conflict and provide them with safety on UK shores.

We also keep the Ukrainians who have already made their home in the UK in our thoughts. We know of the great distress and emotional turmoil they are experiencing as they worry and try to help their loved ones and their fellow Ukrainians.

There are few victors in war and we call for a fast ending to the conflict, for the Ukraine to be able to maintain its sovereignty and for an end of the deaths of Ukrainian citizens, and soldiers remaining or defending their homes. We also share our sympathies with the families of the Russian soldiers, whose deaths are also needless and tragic in this causeless conflict.

For those who are feeling distressed please know our drop-in services are running on Mondays and Thursdays from 11am to 3pm.
