Join Refugee Resource as a Treasurer/Trustee - Make a Difference in Oxfordshire

Refugee Resource exists to relieve distress, improve well-being, and promote inclusion for refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants across Oxfordshire.

We provide specialist therapeutic and practical support - including post trauma counselling, mentoring, and wellbeing services - helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Become a Trustee

We’re looking for new trustees to join our Board and help guide the charity’s future direction. As a Trustee, you’ll be part of a dedicated team, sharing your skills and experience:-

  • strengthen our governance

  • shape our long term strategy

  • ensure that the voices of refugees remain at the heart of everything we do

    Who we’re looking for

    We’re particularly keen to hear from people with experience in any of the following areas:-

  • Mental Health or counselling

  • Safeguarding

  • Finance/Accounting

  • Fundraising, Communications or marketing

  • Business Development or Finance

    Key Details

  • This is a Voluntary role (reasonable expenses reimbursed)

  • Attend 4 Board Meetings

  • Additional meetings required for the Treasurer

  • Applicants must be 18 or over and meet the Charity’s Commission eligibility criteria for trusteeship.

We are Hiring Interpreters in Tiringya and Vietnamese

  • Professional fluency in English, Tigrinya, Vietnamese or both

  • Approx One and a Half hours work a week (£24ph)

  • Oxford based due to face to face sessions

  • Ability to Maintain Strict confidentiality and neutrality

  • Excellent listening and communication skills

  • Reliability, professionalism and punctuality essential
